HAED Sale, Very Large New Start

Another HAED sale, 25% off through the 5th of July. Then apparently a dry spell on sales until Sept!

The picture there, yes page 77.....of my newest start. Summer, by Alponse Mucha, a HAED chart. Not my style, and going to be daunting, to say the least. That's what happens when I let family pick their gifts! Haven't done a chart anywhere near this size before---and I'm not going to be able to take 5 years to get it done!! It's 28ct off white, 1x1 full cross, 20x30 fabric.

Anyway, I am near some other finishes, so maybe I'll have some real pictures up soon. Just can't quite seem to get there. And the special fabric I thought I was getting to start Treasures, oh my, the fabric isn't like the picture. Instead of dusty red and white, it's bright lavender and pinkish. It would certainly be interesting together, but I haven't decided. I was all excited to start, but that is on the back burner until I figure out if I am sending the fabric back, or using something else. Plenty of time to get something else finished in the meantime.

New Things

Ok, couple things....sale only through tomorrow for 50% off at HAED if you hadn't been paying attention.

Lovely pictures, for some reason linking directly still doesn't work. The top one is Lily Pool by Ruth Sanderson, which I had just seen in the finished gallery. I hadn't seen it before, because it is not available for regular customers; shops only. (Not sure how many of those there are, & this is not a new chart.) Soooooo, I can order it! And it's really a beautiful chart--I'd be happy to stock a few if I get requests--let me know. $19 for regular format etc as usual. I'd even be tempted to stitch it. The other may have made it to my bucket list....new JBG release, The Sick Rose. Any interest? I will be adding it to my next order.

My other order is in. I have just started to list them(sold one right away already)...so keep an eye out.

I have finally seen some Mystic Stitch that I would like to offer, including some fractals, soon. Some Cross Stitch Collectibles fractals will still be coming, too, but not until at least next month for that...so, all in due time.

AND, the mid year small freebie SAL is in sign up stages, early. I know I just said I wouldn't be working on them, but.....but.......they finally have a black & white. Something I could actually get finished to offer as a giveaway. And I really like the other selections(even more). Thinking I am in, with Treasures, the B&W.

Ah, and I have been stitching, on most projects. I have Summer by Alphonse Mucha to do for family, so that will be started soon. I have started the letter "R", with the correct sparklies, pic coming soon, for sale.

HAED Sale, Latest Start

HAED is doing their Mother's Day sale, 25% off through 5/9.

My latest start, a non HAED. The blue fractal I was telling you about. This is pretty much page 1 completed, of 45. It's on 28ct, 1x1, my smallest count yet. I really like it, even though these parts are "boring", works for me---but it's still the largest piece of fabric I have worked on as well! Hopefully the colors will come out a little more correct next time. Thinking I'd like to get more, but this one is luckily only a few colors, and 500x375. Most of the others are even worse!

I will not be doing the contests, they are too time consuming for the pieces I want to finish. And, of course, can't sell them. If I can still get them finished, I'd like to do giveaways, but I don't see finishing any of them in any near future.

I have ordered some of the HAED charts and will be listing them on my sites once they are in. I have a few coming from my bucket list even!

HAED Sale

Ok, another HAED sale, 25% off through 4/17. If those Kayomi kitties get done, I am sure a bunch of those will be in the sale buys! Lovely, and I am not a cat person. Looks like my heavy days on ebay are nearly done. (have probably said that before) With the latest changes, it really doesn't make sense, not for little beads etc. I might list some charts over there, will see. It may go gangbusters as more people leave. Means I need to really put some effort into Artfire being a place for me where things SELL! Bought a lovely fractal chart the other day, not here yet. Can't believe it had to be blue. But it should be interesting, not totally abstract, but nice geometrical swirls.

This starts at 10 for $5, 50(approx) for $25, and 100(approx) for $50--I don't mind if on the larger amounts you need 51 or 102.... HAED Sale & 2011 Goals

And, of course, there are discussions of 2011 resolutions and goals. For some reason, that always creeps up on me. Personally, I'll still be the same me, for the most part, perhaps even more "bitchy"/independent. Not winning friends there, but I'm happy with it. And on the craft front, well, I'll have to post that later. Someone even mentioned one goal for each month. Not for me, but nice idea. I have plenty to accomplish, along the lines of creating. Not so much businesswise, on the cross stitch front anyway---I have to make it to sell it! More later.....

Not a lot else to report here, in a weird lull for XMAS. Working on XMAS kitchen towels(need something that is a truly "finished" product) and such. Brought out SK Mermaid and have done some stitches, still struggling with confetti. And I started SK LOTW last night, on 22ct white. Gotta have something for those pics!


And lastly, an update on those side money making things.....High marks for Onbux, moderate for Neobux.....and I am enjoying Swagbucks, too. Feel free to ask me on any of that stuff, questions, strategies, etc. Happy to share now that I've figured out what works!

Pretty & Pink Finished

Ok, Pretty & Pink, the flamingo, is finished, photographed(so so) and listed on Artfire. Here Probably my quickest finish, while not working elsewhere. Blended colors, 2x2 on 28ct, eye is 1x1 though, and I was liking that a lot, may need to try more 1x1. HAED charts would fit on reasonable fabric sizes then. Working on more XMAS felt ornaments now. Things are a bit slower going than I'd like, and some other outside distractions, but I am making progress.

HAED is having a Halloween sale, cross stitch charts 25% off through 10/30. And, I do have to fit in time to work on SK Mermaid, and start SK Light of The World(1 page for end of year). Those were goals for the end of the year that it would be sweet to make. See how far I can get. Not sure if I mentioned those will be the beginnings of giveaway items.

Ok, well another picture first. Been able to concentrate some this week, and made a stuffed felt XMAS ornament, one from an old kit, to make six various Santas. Pretty pleased with that, is listed for sale already The Blushin Rose ...besides doing some cross stitch, too. And hey, very cool that Artfire has come out of beta and offering a $5.95 limited deal for a Pro store. Really like the changes going on over there.

And, HAED is having another sale, 25% off through 9/27/10. Astonishing to see the latest finished piece on the site right now...that chart has been calling to me for a while, but it really has to be an incredibly complex chart.

And, off the path, anybody tried work at home/MLM stuff? I've tried a bunch, and looked at many more. Most don't work, that's how I ended up doing my own crafty thing. But, it does take serious time and effort to do a quality process, crafty stuff or anything else. Anyway, I've revisited some of those type things, since I am now on entirely my own time from day to day, and anything to help make all this a success.......Generally, I've learned to NOT put down any serious money, but this is one I am going to try that does require money, and as such, I'm putting it out here for you to look at. I do think this could be very successful. FantaZ Games . Play your favorites, Bejeweled etc, even Fantasy Football type....all skill games, for free or cash, and even as MLM to make money. Any questions, let me know. I'll keep you posted on that, and my other work at home attempts of late, as they develop.

Just back from vacation, lots of changes. Pretty good trip, but always seems too busy. We have picked a house, already, quicker than we expected. We'll see if that's the one we can get. If so, we could be moving to FL in Sept. Also, the real world job I had has pretty much disappeared, got that news while on vacation, too. So I have some pressure now to make this craft stuff activity step up quite a bit.

I also bought just a few little sets of Swarovski crystals, to frost. So you will see some of those up on Artfire too, just as soon as I can do them. (TheBlushinRose) Have done some stitching on Faces, should be able to post a WIP pic, and some other stitching on smaller pieces that will also be up on Artfire.
